In these times of uncertainty, when all too often news is not always of the best, it is wonderful to have some good news to share with you. Archbishop Stack has announced the Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate of Christian Mahoney, to take place later this year on the Third Sunday of Advent, 18th December. Christian, a solicitor by profession, lives in Christ the King parish with his wife Esther and two daughters Alessia and Daniela. As well as his home parishes he assists also at St Joseph’s and the Cathedral, and is Chair of Governors at St David’s College. He has become more widely known in recent years for his work for the National Eucharistic Congress, and Advent and Lent retreats at St David’s with Esther. He represents our archdiocese on the Spirituality Committee of the Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales.
